I dun know what I am feeling now, I'm happy but I cannot laugh out loud, the mix of feeling is so new to me... I cannot remember if I had the same feeling when I was about to join Tollyjoy 2.5 years ago...

Interviews

In office now, Carolyn took half day urgent leave, I guess she overslept lah, we had dinner with Wendy last night at P.S. until 9.30pm. So, now I'm bored, Charmaine also went to Malaysia with her department and boss.

Perhaps one of the reasons for my moodiness this morning is that I am really tired, had a really long chat with Seow last night till 3am, then his soccer match start so have to stop, through he claim he can still talk when watching soccer... I know him better!
This is my 3rd night in a row that I slept at 3am and had to wake up at 8am. 5 Hours! Where got enough for ME! I need to get some sleep soon... hmm...planning...planning...

Another reason responible for my mood today is my interview yesterday with Cathay Ad-House. It was my 2nd interview, and I had to do a marketing plan for The Cathay and present to the chairman, manager, and HR. In the end, the Chairman says he thinks I did quite a good job...for my age! He feels that since I'm not in the target age group for The Cathay (25-40 yrs old) and I'm only 23... I do not know what they want... BUT he would like to give me a try... (still wondering what he meant by that?? He is still deciding or he plans to put me in Cineleisure so he can move the lady there now to The Cathay? She would probably be 26 or 27... (soon to be too old to know what the 14-28 years old wants... if you are not in the age group you won't know what they want right?? - His reasoning... )

BUT, I still like this position! And believe it or not I actually like the Chairman, and the Manager (one look I know she is the type that sure will kill me if I don't do my job well...but I need this kind of person to help me grow...and I'm sure she is going to be a good mentor to learn from.) and I also like the HR lady, I think she is nice... When she sent me out after the interview, I asked her how many more interviewees are there since they just told me they are still in the mist of interviewing others and will let me know their decision by next week. She told me, honestly we only shortlisted 4 for 2nd interview and you are the only one that turned up...! I wonder why? Because they are too lazy to do a short marketing plan? To afraid to do a presentation? or afraid to see the Chairman?? If it is any of the above then even I know that they are not suitable for a marketing job... so I actually like this manager's way of filtering the suitable ones...
Well, back to me, if that 3 had chicken out, I shall be the chosen one right? Wrong! They decide to do shortlisting again! I guess they really don't like to be left with no choice...or they don't have faith in me... :/ getting depressed...

So I'm waiting for next Monday, HR told me I could call her then to hear what is their decision. I think if I wait until I call her, then chances not high, that's why I hope she would call me this week with the good news... praying...praying...

By the way Branded Lifestyle just called me to go for interview again with their chairlady, I applied for their marketing executive position but at the 1st interview the interviewer says she finds that I am much more suitable for their new position for Retail Operations Executive, basically same as what I'm doing now except it would be a brand new brand... says the marketing position would be too desk-bound for me... so just now she called to arrange for an interview for me again... think I'll go lah. see see look look ma...

Sick sick me...

Woke up with a painful throat yesterday morning. SMS manager to apply for MC. I know what's going to happen if I dun see the doctor soon, I've been through all these before... first its a block nose, then my throat gets painful, then a lump will appear on my throat (cannot see but can feel and it can get painful, dun know what is it called...) then I will feel my whole body ache and I will have fever. All these happened to me last year Dec. That's why this time, the moment my throat gets painful, I go see the doctor, no way am I going through all that again!
I am still coughing today, but am much better now.
Very nervous and excitied about my job interview tomorrow. Its an Ad-House as their A&P Executive. the more I read up about this company and this job, the more I like it. Really hope I get the job. Wish me luck!

She is a very interesting woman. I always felt that one day when she is 50, she can write her life story and it will be a bestseller. When we were younger, I felt that she is wrong, but as I got older, I felt that she is brave. Not many people are brave enough to go for the life they want, but choose to stick to the norm.

I remember when we were in sec sch I told Eliz and Mel..."You 2 ah... so crazy...next time I tell your daugthers, they sure dun believe one", one of them replied, (I forgot who) "Wrong! They will be impressed, you would be the boring Auntie Hilda" ... ... well I guess they were right. *sigh* Me and my boring life... most of the time I'm ok with it... but well, tonight is not 'most of the time'.

Snake Eating

I first heard of snake eating when I entered my secondary school, I joined Track and Field as a middle distance runner, we have to run to East Coast Park for our training. The term 'eat snake' was taught to me by one of my teachers in charge. As he is old (50's), he would cycle behind us while the other teacher would run in front. Everytime we hide somewhere and not go for training he would find us and say 'eat snake ah!' and sometimes he would join us...for a while before making us go back to complete our runs. :) He made our training fun and these eat snake sessions help bond the team.
Now that I'm working, I tend to eat snake alot too. Like now, I'm suppose to be at work, but I'm home writing this... Thats one of the good points about working in the sales line, your time is yours to plan. Its not that I don't work, but when I work I get things done quickly, then I'll have time to relax.
But I feel that alot of companies don't understand it, they feel that if you can complete your work so quickly, then you shall get more work done. Perhaps its because of this reason, many office personnals work slowly, its shows that you are working all time, probably have to OT too and that the workload is more than enough for you. Actually, these people are eating snake too, they surf the net, chat on the phone, chat on msn, reading newspaper in office, its just that at the end of the day, they OT to complete the stuff they could have completed before lunch. But its ok you see, some bosses love seeing their staff OT-ing and staff don't mind OT pay.

Lady Fleche

Let me talk about Lady Fleche, this is not only my name in here, it is also my nickname in MapleSEA. I'm an archer in that game and manage to reach level 30 (My darling and I are both very slow players, took us nearly 1 year to reach level 30) Now I am a crossbow archer, and I think its cool to be able to kill 6 with one arrow... :)
Anyway, Fleche means Arrow in french. I really like this name, think even after I stop gaming, I would still use this name in the future.
